OUR VALUES

All the Autism Surrey team simultaneously work in NHS CAMHS or Child Development Services.  We therefore fully understand the extreme waiting lists and resource pressures on NHS services and indeed, the pressures on the parents and young people requiring such services.

As you may know, a NICE compliant multi-disciplinary assessment requires at least two highly qualified professionals (Paediatrician/ Psychiatrist /Psychologist/Specialist Teacher/Speech and Language Therapist) to assess and formulate, usually complex presentations, and be able to consider other possible diagnoses.

If you would like to discuss your child further, then please contact us to see how we can help.

What our clients say

We worked with Amtul, Laura and Ann for ASC with PDA assessment for my 6-year-old. Right from the pre-assessment consultation, we felt instantly at ease and trusted the team totally. They understood immediately where we were coming from and were respectful, warm, kind and professional at all times. They came to our home for the assessment itself to help my child feel more at ease which worked brilliantly, and they were fantastic with her. Throughout the whole process they have listened to us with respect and empathy and have explained and feedback to us in a timely and professional manner. The feedback we received after assessment was given in a clear and supportive manner and we have felt entirely at ease throughout the entire process. Thank you so much to all the team, we would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone seeking support.

From our first contact with Autism Surrey, we have been immensely impressed by the professionalism of the team.  Amtul provided a clear and concise summary of the diagnostic process, the various options available to us in terms of selecting team members and around the timeline ahead.  Working with Amtul and Harriet, we found both to be extremely professional, knowledgeable and experienced in their particular fields and as such we felt absolute confidence in the process.  It has been a pleasure working with the Autism Surrey Team and we are hugely grateful for their support.

Tom and I would like to thank you for your support during Nathan’s assessment. You have managed to engage with Nathan in a way that not a lot of people can, with great understanding and patience, flexibility, humour and warmth. You have gained his attention and his trust. You’ve explained things to him (and us) in a straightforward but sensitive manner, and despite the reality of Nathan’s diagnosis, through your encouraging words, Tom and I (and I’m sure Nathan too), are more positive than we have been in a long time about the journey ahead. With our guidance and access to professional support, we’ve no doubt that Nathan will find his passion, his ‘tribe’, and that he too will be independent and build his own success in future. For that we are so very grateful, thank you.

Thank you all for your help, guidance and expertise in navigating our way through the assessment and diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition for our son.

We found all communication with you clear and transparent. Your assessment on the day of our face to face appointment was professional and compassionate and we immediately felt comfortable, able to trust you and that you had both our sons and our wellbeing as your primary concern.

Our follow up appointment was at a good time point after our initial appointment so as to have allowed us to process the information you provided us with and gave us an excellent platform to clarify things with you.
We are very pleased we chose to seek you and your team out and would not hesitate to recommend others who find themselves in a similar situation from doing so.

We were very pleased with the service we received from Autism Surrey. The initial contact and consultation filled us with confidence that the process would be professional, thorough and conclusive. More importantly, we felt confident that the professionals and the process would be focused our son’s needs and comfort throughout.

On the day of the face-to-face assessment the facilities and everyone we met from the receptionist to the consultants made us and our son feel welcome and very at ease. During the assessment we were particularly happy with the rapport between the consultants and our son.  At the conclusion of our face-to-face appointment we were pleased with how they sensitively delivered their preliminary conclusions. We all left feeling content and comfortable with how things had gone and feeling clear about what to expect next. We received a very detailed report and the follow up meeting was very helpful in nicely concluding the process and providing a full explanation of the nature and purpose of the report.
